50 Shades…

Gray Dress, BCBG, Fall, Fall Colors, America's Cup, San Francisco Fashion, San Francisco Style, Kenneth Cole, Alexander Wang
Patience has never been my strong suit. While I’ve been enjoying watching the sleek, stark monochrome looks relive their 15 seconds of fame, its time for one of this Fall’s top hues, gray, to have it’s moment. I do love the classical elements of black and white that invoke the sophisticated style of Audrey Hepburn, but the striped leggings, blazers, jumpsuits, etc. are starting to make me feel like I’ve fallen down Alice’s rabbit hole into a never-ending nightmare at the Reebok store. Luckily, gray, and navy (more on that later), have come to our fashionable rescue.
Previewing the Fall 2013 collections, I was delighted to see designers, like Marc Jacobs, emphasize gray and navy as the power players in their color palettes. Always eager to jump ahead to what’s next, I gravitated towards this breezy BCBGMAXAZRIA Cowl-Neck Dress for an afternoon at the America’s Cup Pavilion in San Francisco. One of the reasons I love this dress is because it meets all of my utilitarian needs, namely…pockets.
