One of the challenges women often face working in Silicon Valley is how to maintain your personal style while adapting to a male-dominated workforce. You certainly don’t want to feel as if you have to dress blandly to fit it, but you also don’t want your clothes making so much of a statement that nobody hears anything else you say. However, there are many ways in which we as can incorporate fashion into business-appropriate style. In the corporate environment, I will often stick to pant and skirt suits that mix different textures, fabrics, or textures. This Fall, I’m especially loving experimenting with lace and subtle pattern paneling as shown here. The best part about this look is that it’s comfortable enough so that when I’m in the office, I can focus all of my attention on the work at hand and not on fidgeting with my outfit.
