I’ve always loved the steel and brick warehouse aesthetic.
This is one of the reasons I have fallen in love with the “Dogpatch” neighborhood. Living in a city built around shipping ports, it’s so interesting to cruise through the brick streets and check out some of the old warehouses. As a transplant to SF, I’ve become fascinated with these ports and the history behind it all. Being in a new city makes me want to learn as much as possible about it and curious as to how it became what it is today. Weird, I know, but does anyone else feel that way about a new city?
Luckily we’ve had near perfect (read: less windy) days to make walking through these streets actually fun without the wind blowing your hair into your lip gloss and your skirt flying up. As mentioned in this post, it’s been the perfect time for finally pulling out my true Summer clothes. This skirt was the perfect pop of color for the steely warehouses of the ‘patch, and just stretchy enough for the leisurely 2 hour brunch before our walk :).
