Happy Monday! What an incredible weekend this has been – we bought a new car! This has been a long time coming for me because I have had the same car for 5 years, which wouldn’t be a huge deal, but I drive about 100 miles per day most days. It is a BMW X3 and we got it at our favorite dealership, DGDG. I love so many things about it, but what I really love is that it actually plays music through my PHONE! No more CDs and listening to the same 7 songs on the radio. So, this feels like a major upgrade.
Most of the weekend was spent doing car things, but I also had the opportunity to finally get to work on some projects around the apartments – like framing and hanging pictures from 10 months ago! We have been at our place almost a year now, but the design process has been a slow one. Now that Fall is around the corner, I’m ready to make our place a bit more cozy and improve upon the overall aesthetic. I’ll be sharing some of the design process, and how we’re getting creative with a small space, along the way.
Here’s a little Fall outfit inspiration for the week rocking my favorite trend right now, fringe!
Have a great week!
It has been seriously hot here lately. Living in a city where it 60 degrees just about every single day of the year, my body (and wardrobe) have been in shock trying to manage these 80+ degree days. As a result, I’ve replaced my casual monday favorite jeans look with “party on top, business on bottom” dresses.
I came across this dress at Banana Republic’s Labor Day sale last week and instantly fell in love it. Before I even tried it on, I knew I had to have it. Even better that it was grey – my staple color lately. One of the best ways to keep grey from looking to drab and casual, is by accenting it with gold jewelry. I picked up this gold necklace at DSW, but also love the simplicity of this one and this one that you can customize.
Regardless of the temperature, this dress is going to be a staple in my wardrobe this fall!
Happy Labor Day, babes! Hope you all are enjoying the long weekend, whether you’re on a vacation or staycation (as I am :). We actually got Friday AND Monday off and it couldn’t have come at a better time as the past few weeks have been intense, to say the least.
With a busy as things have been lately, it was nice to take a few days to literally do nothing! Sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed with thinking of all the things I should be doing on my time off, that I forget how important it is to give yourself room to breathe and allow yourself freedom from the “To Do” list.
On Saturday we took the ferry up to Sausalito (a first since I’ve lived here) to check out downtown Sausalito and the arts festival. This was the perfect outfit for the festival because it felt so bright and colorful amongst all the paintings. This top is one of my favorites, especially for the mercurially warm days here, because it’s lightweight enough to layer over a tank and looks just as good tied around your waist. And, this red bucket bag is just the right amount of flair to make any look pop!
